SonicWall NSv XS
NSv XS is the entry-level, single-core model - it runs SonicOSX 8.0, supports 100 SSO users, and delivers 2 Gbps of firewall inspection throughput, and separately requires only 2 GB of RAM and 32-60 GB of storage, making it a lightweight VM aimed at environments without dedicated IT staff. It's positioned for SOHO, micro-SMB, and simple branch office deployments where you just need Gen 8 threat prevention without much horsepower.
All four run across VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, and Proxmox (Gen 8's new addition), plus AWS/Azure with BYOL or PAYG licensing, and all carry the same RTDMI/RFDPI/Capture ATP engines and embedded Cysurance cyber warranty - the differentiation is purely core count, throughput, and SSO user scale as you move XS → S → M → L.
